A portion of every golf fee benefits the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy and First Tee – Clearwater where students grow in character, life skills, and academics. In addition to practicing at the Driving Range, taking golf lessons from a professional instructor is the best way to improve your game. Our instructors are uniquely skilled at evaluating your game and can help you hit the ball longer and straighter, as well as play better on and around the greens. You can schedule individual or group lessons. When Hall of Fame golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez started a school on his golf course in Clearwater, Florida, he believed that the golf course could make a better environment for learning than a traditional classroom for some kids. Many students struggle with poor grades, low self-esteem, or adjusting to a traditional academic environment. At the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy, we are determined to positively impact the graduation rate of our community and prepare our students for success in the most important game of all. Life. The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation acts in partnership with Pinellas County Schools to offer this unique, public-private academy that serves grades 4 through 8. The public school system identifies children in need of our special surroundings. Pinellas County Schools also provides our teachers, teachers assistants, bus transportation & food service. The Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation provides the Academy Director, School Counselor, the facilities and classroom enrichment materials.
